21-Nov-2021 -- We walked 1400 km from Zurich to Croatia to visit this confluence point as part of our hike network. However, the confluence was 30 km off our hiking route such that we ignored it during our hike.
In the late morning of confluence day, we reached the island Krk, which was the end of this leg of our hike. From the entirely empty Rijeka Airport we rented a car. Besides the rental agent waiting for us, there were no people, no planes, but a totally deserted airport. The holiday season was definitively over.
At 10:30 AM we set out for this confluence point situated in the peninsula Istria. It took 1:30 hours to reach the village Belavići with its centre located only 300 m north-east of this confluence point. From the village, it was a 5-minute stroll to the confluence over an earth track, which at the end turned out to be just 5 m form the confluence point.
However, the confluence is located in a thorny blackberry hedge, which has the potential to ruin your jacked and pants. There is a view to an open meadow to the East.
Just 12 minutes had passed and we were back to our car. We continued our drive to Pula, where we visited the very well preserved antique Roman Arena. In the evening we drove to Zagreb to catch our flight back to Zurich.
