02-Sep-2005 -- Kim and I are in Belgium this weekend for a bit of relaxation and exploring, doing three CP visits. Having just this morning visited the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Tyne Cot, which is near Ieper in the Flanders Area of Belgium we decided to stop off and visit this CP on our way to Spa.
We found this CP easily and it was not too far off the road, just past Wichelen, driving away from Wichelen you will see a small side track leading towards the train track on the right, this track brings you very close to the CP.
We parked the car on the side of the track and walked the 161m to the zeros met, right on the fence line at a fence post!! We took the photos and headed back toward the car, on the way disturbing two very large hares. We also went over and said hello to the one eyed horse that has its stable about 100m from the point.
A nice and easy CP visit good to stretch the legs out of the car and, Kim’s first CP outside the UK.
