14-Jan-2006 -- This was my second atttempt at this confluence. I had tried it the previous day but was confronted by the Glenelg River. As much as I like to conquer a new confluence, I was not prepared to swim across the river, even though I knew the confluence was very close on the other side.
Anyway, the second attempt, from the south proved to be the right way to do it. I went for a drive with my family into the Lower Glenelg National Park then we found a path that took us closer to the point. When the path ended and things turned out more prickly (literally) I took off into the bush by myself. It was a 2 and a half kilometre walk all up in sometimes dense bushes. I still have the scratches on my legs as a reminder. Nevertheless, I bagged that one and came back to the car in time for lunch on a beautiful sunny day.
