22-Feb-2006 -- It had been a cool and foggy day, which is very unusual, for the past few days in North Texas. Due to some downtime at work I decided to do some geocaching and a confluence. This worked out well since the confluence was in the middle of the area of the geocaches.

It looks fairly easy to get to if you check out the maps. The only problem is that some of the roads do not go through as indicated on the maps. Since I was coming in from the south I tried to go around the east side of the confluence. Well that did not work since the road was a dead end and the confluence was 1.6 miles to the west.

So I went back to Whitt and went north on Whitt Rd. until I got a good East indicator on the GPS and then grabbed the next gravel road that went that direction. I passed the gate shown in the visit by the first visitor. About another quarter of a mile there was another gate and the GPS indicated about .32 miles to ground zero.

Since the gate was unmarked I did my version of superman and "bounded" over the gate and followed the road. This road is fairly new - Hunters Camp road. With this road and the ATV trail that got me within 300 feet of ground zero. Further hunters' walking trails literally took me to N33 W98. After a few moments of making sure everything was settled I took appropriate photos.

The trip out was even faster since there was no need to follow GPS headings. Total time on location was about 30 min.

A great walk and another successful confluence.
