05-Jul-2000 -- Since I'd had a long stress filled day at work I thought I would unwind with a nice (and long) drive through the country to the Whitt, TX confluence. I started off about 6:30 that evening and arrived near the area about a hour and a half later. When I arrived at a "road" that would have led me to the confluence, I found it to be gated and pad locked with not one, but as many as 10 pad locks! (see photo #7). They wanted no visitors and I wasn't about to jump the fence. I drove down the road to the closest point to the confluence and took a few photos there.
