(visited by Ville Saari)

07-Jun-2006 -- This was a very easily accessible location. I wonder why it was still unvisited. The Confluence is just a few kilometres south from the Qaṣīm-Madīna highway and the terrain is flat gravel.

I parked by the highway and unpacked my bicycle from the trunk. Getting the bike over the camel fence was a little tricky, but there was a culvert nearby where the fence bends in and the roadbed slopes above the fence. Here I could lower my bike down to the other side of the fence and the culvert also allowed me to pass under the road. I came from the east and this had forced me to park on the wrong side of the highway.

Less than 15 minutes of bicycling over firm flat ground brought me to ground zero. I shot the photos, drank some water, and bicycled back to car.

I zeroed out the minutes in my GPS receiver for the photo, but at the time I didn't notice that the "Dist To Dest" was still 1 meter because I was looking at the coordinates only. So the accuracy of the visit was 4 meters although the GPS receiver says 3 meters and the minutes are all balls.
