02-Jun-2006 -- I was on my way to a square dance weekend in Honesdale, PA which took me north on I-81. The confluence at 41N 76W is about three miles south of I-81 and just north of the Hazleton, PA airport. It had been raining most of the way north from my home near Washington, DC, sometimes quite hard. As I got to the Hazleton vicinity, however, Mother Nature eased it back to just a drizzle. I pulled into the driveway at the bottom of the hill on Old Turnpike Road (photo #3 to the east) onto a carpet of purple flower petals (photo #1 to the north) that had been knocked off of the bushes (photo #2 to the south) by the recent rain. Photo #4 shows the view up the driveway to the west of the dashpoint. I had considerable difficulty homing in on the exact location of zero and spent quite a while pacing back and forth in the wet weather. photo #5 was the closest I could capture with my camera.
