#1: A tree in a field

(visited by Ada Kerman and Herald Williams)

05-Jun-1999 -- (Narrative written November 4, 2001) I wasn't trying to go for the world's record in procrastination for writing this confluence narrative but somehow I never got around to it before this.

My husband Herald had just given me a GPS for my birthday the day before and I couldn't wait to try it out. Starting from Albany, NY, we decided on this confluence.

As I recall, we drove south on US 9, avoiding the toll road I-87 for a more scenic route, and using a DeLorme NY atlas as well as the new GPS.

Although the confluence itself appears rural, there was a small town quite nearby, and I remember crossing railroad tracks shortly before we found the confluence.
