#1: View to the north

(visited by Craig Hall and Craig Hall, Sr.)

09-May-2007 -- I was traveling to Zion National Park from Salt Lake City, UT for a business conference. Not too far off the route was 38 North 113 West.

I exited I-15 at Beaver, UT and headed west on State Highway 21, passing Minersville Reservoir. At Minersville, I turned left onto Hwy 130. Just a few more miles down the road, I passed the 38 North parallel and stopped on the side of the road. Interestingly, it appeared there was another set of relatively fresh tire marks on the side of the road. This area is so remote, that it’s likely the only reason one would stop at this precise point would be to visit the confluence.

Once we exited the vehicle, it was a nice leisurely walk approximately 400 feet off the road. As one of the pictures shows, there was a cairn left by a prior visitor near the confluence.

Thanks to my dad for visiting this confluence with me.
