(visited by Kobus de la Porte) 18-Sep-2007 -- During a recent visit to the Omaheke region in eastern Namibia, I have decided to try and locate a few yet unclaimed confluence points in the area. The 23S 20E confluence is roughly 100 kilometers southeast from Gobabis and located on the international border between Namibia and Botswana (the 20E longitude). This area is known as the Aminuis Corridor. Access to the farm Soronto of Mr F Mogotsi where the confluence point is located is from road D3820. This gravel road is 6 km from and runs parallel to the Namibian/Botswana border. The gate to the farm was unfortunately locked and I had no choice but to turn around. Continued at 22S 19E. |
