13-Jul-2008 -- After visiting 55°N 7°W we continued to visit with relatives in Northern Ireland. We then flew from Belfast to Newcastle, to visit with relatives in northern England.
On the last day before leaving northern England, there was an opportunity to try and visit 55°N 2°W, during a drive to see some more relatives. We turned onto a road that leads to Aydon Castle.
I had already seen that there were "no tresspassing" signs at the access to the field containing the confluence, so we continued down the road, parked, and visited the castle. After seeing the castle, we drove back out the road, and stopped at the road that leads to the field. I took a couple of pictures of the field, but was more than 100m away, so this visit is "incomplete". We didn't have time to try and contact the landowner for permission to access the field.
The next confluence on this trip was 54°N 1°W.
