21-Sep-2008 -- I had to fly down from Oslo to Frankfurt to attend a meeting in a small town further south. Since the meeting was going to start on Monday morning, I had to leave on Sunday, which also gave me an afternoon available for confluence visits.
From the airport I drove about 25 minutes due east, the last part alongside the Rhine river until I got to Oestrich-Winkel and followed side streets for a few blocks to the confluence.
The point is located in the back garden of a private home, but since previous visitors have been allowed to enter this area and document the location, I didn't see the need to bother them again. Instead I took photos from two directions into the area, as well as the nearby (30 m away) intersection and the small grape field located there.
After the visit I drove south towards 49°N 8°E
