25-Oct-2008 -- This is the 41st of a series of 83 confluence visits during our voyage from Nigeria to Europe and back to Nigeria around the entire African continent. It all started on 28 January at 11N 5E.
Story continues from 33N 36E.
It is 9 a.m. and we are leaving our hotel in downtown `Ammān. We are 8.5 km from the Confluence.
There was a lot of traffic in the town but once we passed the new taxi and bus terminal, the situation improved. We followed this road and got this way as close as 80 meters to the Confluence.
We parked the car, crossed the motor way on the nearby pedestrian bridge, and found the Confluence only a few meters from the building away.
After we completed all the necessary documentation, we went shopping at the nearby supermarket and continued our journey which lead us to the Dead Sea, the ancient city of Petra, and to the desert area at Wādiy Rūm.
