22-Nov-2008 -- It was such a nice November day, that it would have been a crime to do anything with it other than confluence hunting. We hastily packed the car with water and a GPS, and took off down the freeway.
After traveling north on US 93 for about 44 miles, we parked on the side of the road next to mile marker number 10. We crossed the highway, and followed the GPS towards the confluence. It was pretty easy hiking through the desert, although we were surprised at the amount of lush vegetation in the area. We had to go around it in certain spots, costing us valuable minutes.
We got to the confluence point at about five minutes before sunset, so we couldn't stay long. We took the appropriate pictures, enjoyed the silence for a second, and started back.
Total hiking time to and from the parked car was about one hour. This was a very easy and fun confluence to visit.
