30-Nov-2008 -- About 90 minutes after leaving 53N-01W we pull up opposite the village hall. This time I park in a small track between two houses. It's still very cold here, with frost still on the ground and ice on the puddles, the time is half three in the afternoon.
Get kitted up again and handing the Garmin to Pete we set off past the hall. As expected all of the crops have been harvested, so this time we can straight line it across the fields.
You would have hoped that the freezing temperatures would have sealed the field surface. Hoped anyway, by the time we have crossed the field my boots are about two inches taller.
A bit of manoeuvring soon sees us right on the spot, accurate to 9 feet, yet again getting a WAAS lock on - for the 13th consecutive visit. Pete finds another way out involving jumping a couple of ditches.
Back into the nice warm car and the 80 odd miles to our hotel, where tomorrow we are going to 55N-02W.
