09-Jun-2009 -- I first visited this confluence in January 2000, before Selective Availability was disabled, so (while driving back to the SF Bay Area from LA) I decided to revisit it, with a better camera, and to get "all zeros".

This is one of the easiest confluence points in the world to visit. A warning, however: While driving north on highway 65 from Bakersfield towards Porterville, I got a speeding ticket for driving 69 mph in a 55 mph zone. This was surprising, because in most parts of California, it's safe to drive less than 15 mph over the speed limit while on the highway. But apparently the cops are bit more anal in this part of the state - so beware.
