08-Sep-2009 -- This is the last of a series of 83 confluence visits during our voyage from Nigeria to Europe and back to Nigeria around the entire African continent. It all started on 28 January 2008 at 11N 5E.

Early in the morning we were leaving Uyo and drove towards Akankpa and further to Ugep. At Ugep we turned off and took the road to Abba Omega. This road is partly under construction. The 25 km took us more than two hours.

The Confluence is situated outside Abba Omega on the road towards Afikpo, 200 meters next to the road. Presently it is the raining season in this part of the world and there were heavy rainfalls the last couple of days. Unfortunately for us the Confluence is situated in a swampy area and we could only get as close as 60 meters to the Confluence.

After 19 ½ months, our trip around Africa ends here. We have returned to our starting point Abuja.
