23-Feb-2010 -- Whenever I visit a confluence point, I hope that it will lie within a piece of pristine land, untainted by human presence. This confluence point, however, was far from that ideal, because it lies on a piece of land that - although rural - is used extensively as an illicit dump site. As the previous visitors - Targ Parsons and Zifeng Liu - reported, there are several piles of discarded junk (including tyres and at least one car body) near the point.
The confluence point is easy to reach, as it lies just 380 metres West of Heathcote Road, and several dirt tracks (used by the dumpers) take you almost to the point, which lies within a stand of gum trees. The confluence point itself is marked by a heavily rusted metal post.
