28-May-2010 -- Por cuestiones laborales me encontraba en Qaṭar y como no podía ser de otra forma tenia que visitar una confluencia. Necesitaba un vehiculo y en lo posible un acompañante. Fue así que comentando este tipo de aventuras y mi compañero Daniele se mostró interesado. Sin perder tiempo lo invite a que me acompañe y como a el le gusta recorrer lugares y también la aventura, acepto inmediatamente. Justo ese fin de semana tendríamos la posibilidad de disponer de una camioneta, así que todo estaba listo para partir.

Con mucho calor y muchas botellas de agua congeladas emprendimos el camino hacia el punto. Luego de algunas equivocaciones en las salidas de la autopista pudimos dar con la ruta que nos acercaría. Pero al llegar un cartel que decía que era zona militar y que el paso estaba restringido. Como solo debíamos hacer 2 km avanzamos lentamente. Cuando estábamos a unos 400 m nos bajamos y caminamos bajo el ardiente sol del mediodía. Logramos fácilmente los 00. Estábamos muy contentos. Sacamos fotos y rápidamente volvimos a la camioneta para poner el aire acondicionado a full y continuar en busca de alguna playa para refrescarnos.

28-May-2010 -- Having been in Qaṭar on a business trip, I decided to visit a Confluence. I needed a vehicle and if possible a companion. I talked to a colleague about this type of adventure and he was interested. Without wasting time I invited him to accompany me and because he likes to go to places and also adventure, he accepted immediately. Just this weekend we would have the possibility of having a van, so everything was ready to leave.

With much heat and many frozen water bottles, we took the road to the point. After some mistakes at the highway exits, we found the path that would bring us closer. Then we saw a sign saying this was a military zone and that the access was restricted. As we had left only 2 km, we continued slowly. When we were about 400 m, we started walking under the burning sun of noon. We reached easily all zeros on the GPS. We were very happy. Once we had taken the photos, we quickly returned to the van to get the full air-conditioning and continued looking for some beach to cool us.
