29-Dec-2010 --

29-Dec-2010 --

We left Macaé (Tolentino, Harald, Junior, Daniel and Jeff), the North coast of the State of Rio de Janeiro, at approximately 10: 00 a.m., going toward Santa Maria Madalena (land of deceased actress Dercy Gonçalves). We passed by a dirt road that connects Glicério – district of Macaé-Trajano de Moraes, followed by asphalt road until Madalena.

We had lunch in Madalena and went in search of Confluence. When we leave the jeep, we started walking toward the desired point, namely the confluence 22 degrees South and 42 degrees West, which was approximately at 400 meters. We had to climb up a slope, full of dry twigs, thorns – advise going with pants and no, Bermuda.

When we reached the top, the GPS indicated more 15 meters into the dense forest, to the point of Confluence. Enter with difficulty and, when we reach the confluence – to remember here that the Board puts on first visit is still attached to the tree and in full perfection, a heavy rain collapsed, leaving time for anything, just getting stuck, trying to protect GPS and camera for at least some 25 minutes. After the end of the rain, we were able, with some difficulty; take out the photos required for proof. Then we went downhill, we travel by road from ground toward Dr. Loretti, where begins the asphalt and followed by Triumph and Conceição de Macabu until the BR-101, toward Macaé.
