04-Feb-2011 -- As luck would have it I was working in Ludwigsburg so I took a quick look at the map. The point 49N 9E was in my reach. On our day of departure, Friday 4 February, I convinced my colleague to take a small detour. We got up a bit earlier and started our trip. The GPS had problems with guiding us to Hohenhaslach due to new roads build there. It took some time to find the right way and I was a bit concerned because it switched directions on and on. Finally we found the road into the wood near Hohenhaslach.

We turned right on the first crossing. According to the GPS we got closer to our goal and departed again. We decided to stop the car and walk the last few meters. We went up the hill and found a path. We came to a small cottage and a fireplace. We saw the info sign nearby showing the confluence point. But it is not marking the point correctly. We had to walk a few more meters. I found the point at the side of the path. After marking the point we continued our trip home and my friend was happy about the walk through the woods in the morning.

Coordinator's Note: Obviously, the old info board has become replaced by a new one at some moment of time between September 2008 and February 2011. The text and graphics have been kept nearly unchanged with regards to content (only some minor addenda and rearrangements), except for one important issue: Now the signboard no longer claims to be on the intersection of longitude and latitude, instead is states to be in proximate vicinity of it.
