04-May-2013 -- Comments: Sixth of ten confluence visits in 2 days in E. Colorado. The day was getting late but I decided to push it and hit this one before finding a place to camp for the night, driving south from 38N, 103W through Pritchett, CO and the Comanche National Grassland. It is quite close to the tri-state marker for CO, OK, and NM, and is surrounded on all sides by mesas and red rock mounds, less than fifty feet from the road. There was a cairn with several coins on it at the site. I continued on to camp in Kenton, OK, and the paved roads leading away from the tri-point in OK were a welcome relief.
Time arrived: 6:34p
Temperature: 57 deg. F
Parking location: Tri-state marker
Approx. distance to confluence: 0.25 mi.
Total time away from car: 13 min.
