18-Aug-2013 -- my son Aaron and I began our day early, hiking to Eunice lake near Mt. Rainier. We had a great day of weather and a nice hike. My plan all along was to visit this confluence because I knew it was close by. After coming down off the mountain we traveled up and down the road nearby to find the best approach. We parked alongside the road and walked the very short distance to the confluence. We arrived at 4:30 PM PST.
It took nearly 15 minutes to finally get all zeros. The area was damp with lots of moss and fallen trees. A trail has developed very near but we didn’t follow it. There happens to be a geocache at the confluence that I claimed as well. Weather was clear and warm.
