25-Jul-2014 -- After leaving the 401 freeway, I drove through the quaint village of Grafton, then turned onto Shelter Valley Road, which passes just south-east of the confluence point. A couple of houses lay between the road and the point. However, once again, I was helped a lot by having inspected satellite imagery beforehand. Satellite imagery showed what appeared to be a path - starting at [43.9984,-77.99978] - that bypassed the houses, on their west.
Sure enough, this path turned out to be a gravel doubletrack road that turned into a narrower grass doubletrack that ended up passing just 45 metres west of the confluence point. An easy 'bushwhack' led to the point, which is surrounded by forest.
