19-May-1996 -- Yay! My second trip to a Degree Confluence. This one was a pretty interesting one. I had to walk across a huge sandpit, through a half-mile of the most devastated clear-cut I have seen (in terms of its damage to the forest -- there were piles of brush to trip on, deep pools of stagnant water from the tracks of the log skidders, and mud), and finally to a marshy area with lots of grass and dead trees. It was right by a small stream running through the marsh. I got a little wet.
