09-May-2015 -- On a county tops bagging expedition to Wiltshire and Dorset I noticed I was passing a confluence point - a quick detour to the exceptionally attractive village of Bower Chalke and its amazing setting had me following what my map said was a public footpath toward the confluence.
Sadly all trace has been obliterated by ploughing. With a bit of a detour and big strides it is possible to pass from the field margin into a tractor track and following this visit the confluence without inflicting damage on the standing crop.
This is a really pretty part of the country - I had a great afternoon wandering round - and recommend you do the same.
