01-Feb-2016 -- I hiked into the confluence site from the Escure Ranch Trailhead located at N 47 00.848 W 117 56.642, the old Escure Ranch is now owned and maintained as a wildlife sanctuary by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. All of the land around the site is owned by DNR although it appears cattle are grazed on the property. There was a scattered to broken deck of clouds in the area at the time of my visit and the temperature was 40 degrees with little to no wind. On the hike in I followed some old ranch roads when available and cow paths when they weren't. Occasionally I resorted to overland hiking but that was seldom required. I crossed two fence lines on my route in but there were DNR trail markers along the way indicating I was, at all times on public property.
Upon arrival at the site I quickly got the numbers to line up and took a picture of my GPS, one looking north, east, south, and west. I noted a small cairn at the confluence.
This is a beautiful area in which to hike. Wildlife was abundant today; I saw Bald Eagles, Elk, and lots of Coyotes.
