05-Okt-2015 -- Mein Kurzurlaub im Herbst führte mich durch das Schwedische Dalsland bis hinein in das Schwedische Hochland des Fulufjället. Zur Überbrückung der größten Distanz folgte ich auf dem Weg nach Norden dem breiten Tal des Glomma stromaufwärts auf norwegischem Terrain. Unweit der schwedisch-norwegischen Grenze passierte ich den 60. Breitengrad.

Da ich etwas Zeit und schönes Wetter um mich herum hatte, bog ich kurz hinter Vestmarka in den Schotterweg Richtung CP 60°N 12°E ein. Ca. 2 km vor dem Ziel änderte der Weg seine Richtung und ich hielt nach einem Parkplatz Ausschau. In der Einfahrt zu einer Waldhütte fand ich eine Stelle – so wie viele andere auch, denn der Weg war zugestellt mit einer stattlichen Anzahl großräumiger und geländetauglicher Fahrzeuge.

Kaum war ich ausgestiegen und hatte meine Wanderschuhe angezogen, da erfuhr ich den Grund für den großen Menschen-Andrang. Aus dem Wald in Richtung des CP fielen Schüsse – es war Elch-Jagd!

So verstaute ich die Wanderschuhe wieder im Wagen, ließ den CP für mich heute unentdeckt und genoss stattdessen die Herbstsonne bei einer Rast am Ufer des Glomma, dem größten Strom Norwegens.

05-Oct-2015 -- – A short trip to Scandinavia in autumn lead me through the Swedish Dalsland into the Highlands of the Fulufjället region. To cover most of the distance, I followed the expanded valley of the river Glomma on my way north on Norwegian territory. Not far from the Swedish-Norwegian border I passed the 60^th latitude.

The weather was beautiful and I wasn’t pressed for time. North of Vestmarka I turned into a gravel road leading to CP 60°N 12°E. When the road changed its direction I looked for a space for my car to span the remaining 2 km by foot. I found some space in a slip road to a forester’s lodge – in company with other outdoor lovers, cause the wayside was covered with cross-country vehicles. I just got my boots on and wanted to start hiking, when I heard about the reason for the gathering: There were some unmistakable noises in the direction of the CP – rifle fire, it was elk-hunt!

So I stowed the hiking equipment back to the car, left the CP undetected, and enjoyed the autumn sun while resting on the banks of the river Glomma…
