31-Jul-2016 -- Returning from a week of orienteering in South Wales and driving cross country the point was only a few miles off my direct route.
A lovely sunny day. I didn't park at the quarry entrance - where there are signs of recent commercial activity but a little further down the hill by a farm entrance, hoping to nip across the fields - too many high fences and lots of stock - walked up hill and crossed the fence by one of the many safety warning signs (as far as I can tell the confluence is a long way from any dangerous drops or cliffs).
Head-high bracken combined with gorse made the confluence-dance a bit of a struggle.
A short but pleasant visit.
Coordinator's Note: I can confirm having been here several times that the CP is nowhere near the actual quarry site, see my previous visits.
