14-Oct-2017 -- This is the third out of 4 reports reaching confluence points during a 4-day cycling trip from Madrid to Barcelona. The story continues from 41°N 2°W and starts from 41°N 3°W.
After I had spent the night in the village Tartanedo near 41°N 2°W, I continued cycling eastwards. I came along a mountainous road via Daroca, Bea, Fonfría, and finally I reached the mountain village Rudilla located 800 m from this confluence point. The road A-2514 passes through Rudilla and continues to the north-east. Soon there is a mountain pass (1250 m altitude). Right at the top, a little gravel track splits up and after continuing on it for 400 m, the confluence is only 70 m to the east.
To overcome the last 70 m means to climb upwards between rocks. In addition the plants growing there have sharp thorns. I was too lazy to change into long pants and tried hiking upwards in shorts. I succeeded but had to pay for that.
The confluence is nicely located almost at the top of the hill. Accordingly there are great views in all directions. This is indeed a very nice and pleasant point! The climate seems to be dry in this region as I could tell from the kind of grass and scattered bushes.
After the visit I coasted down to Huesa del Común and in the evening I was able to reach the town Andorra (Teruel) where I could spent the night in a hotel.
