12-Mar-2018 -- After a long drive north along the Newell Highway, I was able to visit this easy Degree Confluence point in the evening, before stopping at Goondiwindi, Queensland for the night. It’s just 90 m north of Foxes Lane, which runs westward from the Newell Highway. Most of the 6 m drive along Foxes Lane was on pavement; only the final 500 m or so was on dirt.

This point seems to have changed a lot since the previous three visits (in 2001 and 2007). Back then, the point was described as lying in a “grassy patch” and a “generic grazing paddock”. While this does, indeed, appear to be grazing land (it was fenced off with a barbed-wire fence, and there were hoof prints nearby), several small pine trees are now growing in the area of the point. This makes the point more of a ‘forest’ than a ‘paddock’.
