25-Feb-2017 -- Nachdem ich am Vorabend die Frau eines Freundes nach Villach gefahren hatte, machte ich mich am Samstag Morgen in Richtung Italien und Kroatien auf. Neben einigen besonderen, alten Geocaches stand auch der Confluence-Punkt 46°N 13°E auf dem Plan.

Von der Autobahn kommend, an Udine vorbei, war San Lorenzo schnell erreicht und das aus den Besuchsberichten bekannte Haus in der Via Aquilea schnell lokalisiert und so machte ich mich zu Fuß auf den Weg, den genauen Punkt zu finden.

An einer Mauer vorbei und auf einem Trampelpfad erreichte ich das offene Gelände hinter dem Haus, dort konnte ich den Punkt auf wenige Meter genau lokalisieren. Bei gutem Wetter waren die schneebedeckten Gipfel der italienischen Alpen gut zu sehen. Schnell waren die notwendigen Aufnahmen gemacht. Noch ein kurzer Spaziergang durch San Lorenzo und weiter ging´s in Richtung Süden...

English Narrative

25-Feb-2017 -- I brought a friend's wife to Villach the night before. The morning saw me driving through northern Italy towards Croatia. Beside some rare, old geocaches I had the confluence point 46°N 13°E on my schedule.

Having left the highway and circumnavigated the town of Udine, I quickly reached the village of San Lorenzo. In the Via Aquilea I found the house that I already knew from the narratives of the previous visitors. From there I started my short walk to localize the point.

Along a wall and on a trail I reached open ground, located behind the house. There the point can be found with quite good GPS accuracy. The weather was good, so I could see the snow covered mountains of the Italian Alps. I quickly took the necessary photos, had a short walk through the village, and then went back to my car to continue my trip in southern direction.
