11-Jul-2018 -- During the summer holidays direction Pyrenees I had the chance to visit some confluence points.

During the trip we passed the region "Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes" with the CP 46°N 3°E in it. From Combronde I neared the CP from direction ESE by taking the road D19. It was a very curvy way through a beautiful landscape! Soon the entrance of the village Charbonnières-Les-Vieilles was in sight. I followed the main road, called "Rue de Combronde", and turned right after 300 m, on a small country road, leading direction north. From the junction the CP was in a distance of around 420 m beeline. I passed a farm house, a few gates beside the road, and reached the nearest point to the CP on road.

There I parked the car and stepped over a wide gate onto a field with high grass and a row of smaller trees. Behind that trees a fence appeared, made of barbed wire and an additional electro wire on top. I did the picture of the location from there, with a very old and impressive tree in the back of the CP location. The confluence point 46N 3E is located on a used pasture, around half the way between the old tree and the fence. After taking the pictures of the four directions I took the narrow way to the neighboured pasture (to be seen on picture #02) and found cattle there. The very bright cows and bulls grazed there. At luck I didn't wear red clothes...

This visit took place around 1 p.m. and it was very hot. Soon we reached the autoroute A89 and the trip continued direction southwest.
