15-Jul-2018 -- Visited 41 N 96 W on a sunny Sunday morning. The confluence was about 20 minutes south of our hotel in suburban Omaha. I pulled up and knocked on the back door of the house. The couple who live there were finishing breakfast and before I could say anything the husband said “You here for the point?!” I said yes and he said “It’s right down there in the beans.” He said a number of people had already visited over the years but added that he had never met anyone from Rhode Island. I told him it was the first time I had ever been to Nebraska. I walked down on the lawn but didn’t want to trample any of the crop so I took the pictures from the lawn about 75 meters west of the actual point. I thanked them on the way back to the car and drove off. Somehow I misplaced the picture with the zeros, so I’ll have to take an incomplete on this one.
