04-Aug-2022 -- The Interstate-90 freeway runs East-to-West - close to the 43 Degrees North line of latitude - for more than 250 miles. At this latitude, lines of longitude are about 50 miles apart. As a consequence, six Degree Confluence Points - from [43,-74] to [43,-79] - can be accessed by making just minor detours from the freeway. The first two of these - [43,-74] and [43,-75] - I visited a few days ago. I visited three more - [43,-76], [43,-77], and [43,-78] - during my ‘round the US’ tour in May 2011, but I’m trying to revisit them this week, while I happen to be back in the area.
During my last visit, I remember there being a pullout off Troop K Road, just 0.1 miles East of the point, with a path through the forest that happens to pass very close to the point. But now, 11 years later, the edge of the forest is signposted with several “no trespassing” signs. So, this time, I couldn’t get closer than 0.1 miles.
