15-May-2025 -- Auf unserer Islandtour kamen wir auch nach Achill Island und da musste ich natürlich den Punkt auf der Insel besuchen. Die Besucher vor mir haben die Anfahrt sehr gut beschrieben, sodass es nicht schwer war, den Weg zu finden. Am Ende der asphaltierten Strasse liessen wir das Auto stehen und gingen die Schotterstrasse weiter, bis der Punkt im rechten Winkel zum Berg hinauf lag. Der Weg hinauf war problemlos über Heidekraut, auch recht trocken, da es schon 3 Wochen nicht mehr geregnet hatte, für Irland sehr ungewöhnlich. Fotos vom GPS und in alle 4 Himmelsrichtungen gemacht, dann ging es wieder zurück zum Camping Seal Caves Campsite, wo es uns sehr gut gefallen hat.

15-May-2025 -- On our tour of Ireland we also came to Achill Island and of course I had to visit the point on the island. The visitors before me described the approach very well, so it wasn't difficult to find the way. We left the car at the end of the tarmac road and continued along the gravel road until the point was at a right angle to the mountain. The path up was easy over heather and quite dry as it hadn't rained for 3 weeks, very unusual for Ireland. We took photos from the GPS and in all 4 directions, then went back to the Seal Caves Campsite, where we really enjoyed ourselves.
