15-Sep-2025 -- I competed in the Michigan Ironman 70.3 yesterday; today I began the long journey home to Fort Collins, Colorado. My first stop after dropping my wife off at the Manistee airport was this easy confluence in a thin forest in sparsely populated Lake County, a county which does not actually abut Lake Michigan.
I parked on the road at 8:26am; temperature was 59°F with no wind. Boy, was I sore in the legs as I stepped over the few fallen branches and some mushrooms to the site. It was last visited 18 years ago by Ross Finlayson, and like him, it took me 15 minutes to achieve an adequate photo of All Zeroes. Two cars passed by on the road to the north while I was hidden among the foliage. I was back at the car by 8:49am, 23 minutes later. On to the next confluence due south.
