#1: View NNE to the confluence in the middle foreground

(visited by Gavin Roy and Finn Roy)

25-Nov-2025 -- This is an easy confluence that lies on the property of a condo complex, "Watermark at Oak Hollow". My family of four stopped on a Tuesday en route from Greensboro to Statesville, NC during a cousins Thanksgiving week away. We parked in Guest Parking (plenty in front of each unit) at 11:35am, temperature 64°F with mostly cloudy skies and rain on the way. The girls waited in the car while Finn and I walked between two of the buildings on the mown grass to the backyard, which slopes down to Oak Hollow Lake.

This confluence was visited in June of this year, when visitors Jack and Emma observed a path amidst the invasive kudzu vines. The path was still there, and the surrounding kudzu was dead from a cold snap two weeks ago; thus we were able to zero out completely. It was Finn's first time in charge of the GPS. After taking the requisite photos I saw a group of three residents a few buildings over chatting out back, clearly unconcerned with our movements. As we walked uphill back to the car, Finn looked down in the grass between the buildings and bent down to grab something. A four-leaf clover! He said it was the highlight of our trip to North Carolina.
