Wieder starten wir mit dem Ende der Morgendämmerung und fahren auf kleinen Straßen nach Mezvalde, südlich des Confluenzpunktes. Wie vorherige Besucher fahren wir bis zur Brücke und parken das Auto. Die Brücke ist inzwischen erneuert, aber mit Pollern gesperrt.

Es folgt ein schöner Morgenspaziergang durch kalten Winterwald, auf einem Weg bis etwa 215 m an den Nullpunkt heran. Von da ab gehen wir nach GPS.

Die Nullen lassen sich nicht leicht fangen, das GPS springt immer wieder um.

Auf dem Rückweg gehen wir zu dem Gedenkplatz gleich eben dem Waldweg.

Dann starten wir zum Pedvale Art Park. https://www.pedvale.lv/en/art-park/

Bei großer Kälte und beginnendem Schneefall wandern wir ein Stück über das Gelände, brechen dann den Besuch aber ab und machen uns auf den Weg zum nächsten Nullpunkt.

Bei guten Bedingungen könnte sich ein längerer Spaziergang lohnen.

Once again, we set off at dawn and drive along small roads to Mezvalde, south of the confluence point. Like previous visitors, we drive to the bridge and park the car. The bridge has since been renovated, but is now blocked by bollards.

This is followed by a beautiful morning walk through the cold winter forest, on a path that takes us to about 215 m from the zero point. From there, we follow the GPS.

The zeros are not easy to catch, as the GPS keeps jumping around.

On the way back, we go to the memorial site just off the forest path..

Then we set off for Pedvale Art Park. https://www.pedvale.lv/en/art-park/

In the bitter cold and with snow beginning to fall, we walk a short distance across the grounds, but then cancel our visit and make our way to the next zero point.

In good conditions, a longer walk might be worthwhile.
