Gegen Mittag erreichen wir das Haus am Wegende beim Confluenzpunkt.

Wir laufen die etwa 450 m bei eisigem Wind ins Gesicht zum See. Steigen zum Schilf am Ufer ab und ich gehe bis zum Rand des Schilfes. Weiter traue ich mich doch nicht, der See ist nicht ganz zugefroren und schon im Schilf knackte das Eis.

Bis zum Nullpunkt sind es 22 m.

Nach diesem Ziel fahren wir über die Grenze nach Polen und dann auf kleinen Straßen, wegen der schneereichen Bedingungen in zwei Tagen bis Nowa Pasleka am Haff unter der Russischen Grenze..

Zum Bleiben ist es zu ungemütlich, so dass wir uns entscheiden, die Heimfahrt zu beginnen. Am Abend des 3. Januar 2026 erreichten wir unser Zuhause.

Around noon, we reach the house at the end of the path at the confluence point.

We walk the approximately 450 meters to the lake in an icy wind. We descend to the reeds on the shore and I walk to the edge of the reeds. I don't dare go any further, as the lake is not completely frozen and the ice is already cracking in the reeds.

It is 22 meters to the zero point.

After reaching this destination, we cross the border into Poland and then drive along small roads for two days due to the snowy conditions to Nowa Pasleka on the lagoon below the Russian border.

It is too uncomfortable to stay, so we decide to start the journey home. On the evening of 3 January 2026, we arrive back at our home.
