01-Sep-2026 -- After being on Mount Ararat for four days (unsuccessful attempt for the top because of bad weather), we visited three confluence points in the east of Turkey which had not been visited before: 39N 44E,
39N 43E and 39N 42E. During this confluence point trip we drove around lake Van.
After visiting 39N 44E, we took the E99, drove past Muradiye (waterfalls), and had a delicious lunch (Lahmacun and Ayran) in Ercis. During the confluence point visit of 39N 43E, very friendly locals invited us at home in their big garden with a lot of chickens for Turkish tea (çay) and Turkish delight (lokum)!
