#1: More jungle.

(visited by Tom Arneson and Graham Klaiber)

01-Oct-2000 -- Route: From Gate 1 ot the Caltex Camp at Duri we drove southerly along the asphalt road to Pekanbaru 41 km to the oil field road to Libo Oil Field. Then westerly and northwesterly 32 km to the Caltex Camp at Libo. Near the northwest corner of the camp we left the truck and traveled along a logging trail. The logging trail had wooden rails and cross bars for skidding logs by manpower. We walked along the rails for about 800 meters, hoping to find a trail to the confluence. Our closest approach was 1530 meters.

Graham has returned to the USA, but Tom will make another try after the end of the rainy season.
