04-Aug-2000 -- When heading west on Interstate 70
across Kansas, this confluence is just a few miles past Wakeeney and
about 2 miles south. In this part of the country the farms are laid out
in "sections" of one square mile each. There are usually
gravel roads laid out in one mile grids marking the boundries of each
section of farm land. This confluence was found about 500 feet from one
such road. There was nothing growing in the field but weeds on the day
of my visit.
