14-Jul-2001 -- This confluence is on private property near the small township of Macarthur and is a very rich farming area. Three roads go within a kilometre or so on the west, north, and east sides. There are numerous small creeks (water-courses) in the area and cattle in the paddocks.
I drove in to a property and spoke to the owner of the land. He was most cooperative. It was safe to drive within 400 metres of the confluence.
Unfortunately it was raining and the ground was waterlogged which made walking (and photography) very difficult. The soil is rich volcanic clay and anywhere near the creeks was extremely slippery from the cattle having been there to drink. In all I fell over 5 times on my way to the point and back -- no damage done.
Much better pictures could be obtained on a fine day.
