21-Aug-2001 -- The Morvan is a quite deserted and wooded area. The confluence point 47N004E is very representative of what you can find there!

After quite a long ride coming from Avallon, we passed Château Chinon, headed through the D 978 and then the D 197 to "Le Chatelet".

Remaining on this small and winding road we stopped the car at 650 meters from the point (N46°59.828 E003°59.554). From there we first had to climb through a meadow behind a farm, then jump some fences, then - still climbing - walk through a forest, split by stone walls.

After a 25 minute walk we reached the point still in the forest.

The altitude shown was 726 meters. It was 13h25mn.
