30-Sep-2000 -- This confluence, 40 north 88 west is located in east central Illinois farm country near the town of Homer. We located Bob, Ron and John Umbarger and received permission to photograph the confluence located in one of their bean fields. The Umbargers farm about 1500 acres of corn and beans.

Photograph two is looking due north from the confluence. The small red object on the horizon is the Umbarger combine shelling corn, blown down by some recent high winds. Photograph 3 is looking southeast from the confluence at a radio tower. Photograph four is looking northeast at the Umbarger farm buildings. Photograph 1 is looking due west from the confluence. Picture 5 is the obligatory GPS receiver in the corn and bean residue.
