06-Oct-2001 -- After having visited the point 38°N / 15°E at 1400CEST Hans and myself decided to proceed to 38°N / 14°E. We went through the wonderful Parco dei Nebrodi to State road 113 along the North coast of Sicily until Cefalù, where we arrived at 1830hrs.

There was another CP waiting, so far only attemped. It is the famous "dog"-point. Again we were welcomed by barking from all sides, but no dog was visible.

Having a close view we found out that the point is supposed to be in a quarry. We went through the quarry and realized that a way up the mountain was inevitable. But at the end of the quarry the point was not yet completely reached. 67 metres were missing. It was already long after sunset and we had to think about our return.

Unfortunately the GPS pictures turned all out to be blurred.

Hans and myself returned absolutely exhausted to our car.
