08-Oct-2001 --
After having visited 42°N/12°E NNW of Rome at 0830hrs CEST I drove back on
the State Road SS1 until the highway entrance of Cerveteri-Ladispoli and
took the Highway Route A12 back to the Northern ring of Rome, from there I
went on the Highway via Florence and Bologna in direction Padova and left
the Highway Route A13 at the exit of Occhiobello.
Thence I took the State Road SS16 until Polesella, and bent right into the
Provincial Road SP33 in direction Adria.
At 1400hrs CEST I stopped shortly after the tiny village of Villanova
Marchesana and
realized that it was mere farmland.
Several uncharted roads (but paved) were in the area, and after a little
trying I found the one bringing me closest to the point. It was the via
Peschiera.
There I stopped the car, about 300 metres away from the point.
I realized that I had to walk over another plowed field, similar to this in
the morning near Rome.
Then I reached the point without difficulties.
I made the photos in the 4 directions, but they look all same. I enclose
South and West. After having completed my mission I
had a drink.
As this point is in the noble Delta of the River Po, there is a lot of water
and irrigation canals.
There were no animals in the area, the typical plant is the reed (bamboo).
On the picture you see big bamboo.
