22-Oct-2001 -- We drove to this point which is in the middle of the Icelands highland. At this time of year this is usually not possible without driving on snow, but this year the autumn is unusually warm. As can be seen on the pictures there is very little snow.

Even though the pictures are taken at 17:00 hours there is quite dark outside which is the only sure sign of winter coming in Iceland these days.
