30-Oct-2001 -- With the target of visiting 2 confluences on the same days : 47N 001W and 48N 001W, I had decided to start with 47N001W,…supposed to be easy (but which was not), and then come to 48N001W,… supposed to be difficult as it had been unsuccessfully visited on in july 1999,…but which was not in fact difficult!

Coming from Saint Poix on the D 32, I left this road near Chanteil to proceed, left and then right, to Beaulieu sur Oudon (which can be seen on the view looking east of the confluence). In Beaulieu I was 460 meters from the spot and tried all suitable roads. I finally found, starting from the road linking Beaulieu to Meral, a small dirt road showing "La bucherie" as local name.

I left the car near the end of this track (N47 59.89' W000 59.77) at 350 meters from the confluence, and walked from there in a north-west direction, along hedges of chestnuts between fields, to the spot.

Beaulieu sur Oudon can be seen from the spot, but not the pond shown on the 1999 visit. The altitude there is 119 meters. It was 14h38.
